Dear Bloomingfoods Community,
Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard would like to thank all the Bloomingfoods’ customers and staff for their generous support of the recent “Share the Harvest and Donate a Dollar” campaign that raised $4,865 to support MHC. This gift is enough to keep our Food Pantry stocked for 1 1/2 months, providing over 11,000 healthy bags of groceries to people in need!
Your support comes at a crucial time; at MHC we see lots of new faces and long lines of people waiting to use our food pantry. Every week and average 1,900 clients visit MHC for groceries. We serve those low-income families most affected by these challenging economic times, and act as a support for families who are one accident, house payment, or a medical emergency away from having to choose between paying the bills and having enough food to eat. Here is what a client has to say about MHC’s Food Pantry:
“My family loves Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard because there are days when things are so tight I can’t afford to buy rice, beans, milk and eggs—just the basic stuff—and the Hub’s Food Pantry saves us! We are grateful for the staples and fresh food we find. The Cupboard has been there for us, helping our family make it through an almost impossible time.”

Thank you for your ongoing thoughtful civic engagement, especially in these times of great community need. This year’s campaign was an outstanding success and it was only possible because of the amazing Bloomingfoods’ staff and customers. On behalf of those we serve, we extend our gratitude for your important support and for your commitment to taking a stand against hunger in our community.
