Olde Lane Orchard, in Oden, Indiana, sells apples, peaches, pears, plums, vegetables, bedding plants, and baked goods (at the Winter Market), with a presence at the Bloomington Community Farmers Market on Saturdays and some Tuesdays, and at Bloomingfoods East Market on Wednesdays from June through October, Bloomington Winter Farmers Market, and Restaurant Tallent.

Owners Chester and Janice Lehman say: "In 2002 we purchased a 10–acre orchard off State Road 231 in northern Daviess County. Both our home and the orchard are accessed by long-standing farm lanes—hence the name “Olde Lane Orchard.” Ours is a family business. Our children learn responsibility and life skills as they help prune, thin peaches, mow around the trees, and harvest fruit. Our homemade greenhouse, one acre vegetable patch, and small bakery operation fill the off-season with activity. Although most of our products are distributed through farm markets, local customers visit our house regularly."

Graber’s Produce is a small family operation, farming 88 acres with Pereheron horses.  Although they raise a variety of produce, their main items are peaches, tomatoes and strawberries.  Daniel and Fannie Mae Graber and their eight children look forward to hosting the farm tour dinner, giving wagon rides and sharing peach ice cream.

6th Annual Share the Harvest Fundraiser

Young gardener from Mother Hubbard's Cupboard
This November, Bloomingfoods will host the 6th Annual Share the Harvest Donated-Dollars month-long fundraising event for local food pantry Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard (MHC). This campaign encourages people to donate at the register when they shop at any Bloomingfoods location. 100% of the funds raised will support the Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard food pantry, where $1 helps to buy 10 pounds of food.

Last year, this event was so successful that it raised enough money to keep Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard shelves stocked with food for one and a half months! This month, each time you share a little extra with those who need it most, Bloomingfoods will put a colorful leaf up on the wall in your honor.
