This month you might notice some small changes at the coffee bar. We’re getting new porcelain and paper cups, which will streamline our size options. We’re also working diligently to improve our consistency behind the bar, thereby ensuring that the cappuccino you get in the morning is the same cappuccino you get in the afternoon.
Now that the weather is cooling, off we’re serving a lot more Bloomingfoods Chai (made better with a shot of espresso or a little chocolate). We’re also serving local Musgrave Cider that has been mulled to perfection with a robust blend of spices. It’s delicious steamed to order with some caramel and whipped cream.
Also, starting this month, despite the cool air outside, we’re excited to begin serving cold-brew from Uel Zing, whose yellow coffee cart you’ve seen every Saturday near the Bloomington Farmer’s Market. Working with Uel Zing is, in part, contributing to Bloomingfoods ongoing mission of working with local, artisan partners in our community; it’s also an effort to work with a new local business to further the goal of bringing exceptional coffee options to Bloomington.
Finally, be sure to try a cup of "Werther's Bitter Disappointment," a delicious specialty coffee we developed to honor the IU School of Music's production of Werther, proudly sponsored by Bloomingfoods, and playing October 25th and 26th, and November 1st and 2nd.
