We are making some improvements! Come January, our newsletter is going to look and feel a bit different, here is how.
Bi-Monthly Printing, starting in January.
Magazine Format with Color!
Eco-Friendly (and local) Production.
New Digital Option saves Paper.
• Bi-monthly printing: Starting in 2014, Bloomingnews will come out every other month. This will allows us to bring you some very special, deep content such as local grower features, staff profiles and regular columns from some of our departments (we are particularly excited about a coffee column from our very own Webb Lucas).
•New Format: Bloomingnews will now be a magazine and will even have some color! The pages will be chock full of photographs and stories about co-op, community and food news as it relates to Bloomingfoods.
• Eco-Friendly Production: In keeping with our mission to maintain and protect our environment, we took great measures to ensure this new newsletter is as green as it possibly can be. The front and back pages are printed on 100% North American recycled paper and the inks used in printing are also soy based. We are still printing locally, which will keep the dollars we spend on production in our community.
• New Digital Option: In keeping with the earth-friendly improvements, starting in January member-owners will be able to opt out of receiving a paper copy of Bloomingnews and instead receive a digital version on their computer, tablet, or smartphone. While we know not everyone will opt in for this, we believe that even if 100 people do, it will make a difference to our environment.
These are not the only upgrades we are making but we will let the rest be a surprise. We are incredibly excited about these new improvements and we know you will be too. This new version of our newsletter was designed with our readers in mind. We are always striving to provide relevant, intriguing and nourishing information and we think this new format will keep us moving in that direction.
