Soup Tasting at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market

Few things are more comforting than cold hands wrapped around a warm cup of soup. The weather may be cooling down, but the soup is heating up for the sixth annual soup tasting on Showers Plaza. Celebrate this cool weather harvest from field and farm as area chefs showcase their expertise with this versatile comfort food. Sampling is warmly encouraged!

Preparing Fruit-Producing Plants for Winter

Learn how to prepare fruit-producing plants to survive the winter in good shape in order to get off to a good start in spring. A team of orchard educators, all holding a Certificate in the Organic Management of Orchards, covers strategies for protecting cold-sensitive plants, protecting trees from voles and other gnawing animals, and pruning dead or diseased wood from trees.
