This September, individuals over the age of 18 are invited to submit short, up-to-2-minute videos in the My Co-op Rocks Video Contest, a nationwide contest in which food co-op fans share all the reasons their co-op rocks. For the 7th year in a row we are pleased to team up with Bloomington Parks and Recreation to co-sponsor this popular annual event, when local judges to determine who makes the best salsa in Bloomington.You can submit your entry or just catch the Salsa Contest at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market at Showers Commons, beginning at 10am on Saturday, August 28th.Local judges from the food community will evaluate three categories of homemade salsa: raw, cooked, and specialty. Amelia has been employed at Bloomingfoods, in the Deli, for over a year while finishing up her BFA in Sculpture at I.U. She started her new position at the end of June and has grand plans for improving the beer and wine selections. Already, good things are happening!
